Winter holidays are right around the corner and along with them comes one of the busiest shopping seasons of the year. Did you know you can find the perfect gifts for everyone in your life while supporting Macomb County organizations and businesses by shopping local?
A staple for unique gifts is the Anton Art Center’s Annual Holiday Art Market, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2019. This year, more than 100 of Michigan’s finest artists will be offering handcrafted holiday goods from jewelry to pantry items and everything in between.
The Holiday Art Market will run from Nov. 15 to Dec. 22, 2019 at the Anton Art Center, which is located at 125 Macomb Place in Mount Clemens. It is open: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays; 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Thursdays; and noon – 4 p.m. on Sundays.
The Anton Art Center is just one of Macomb County’s unique local retailers. In fact, there are more than with offerings that range from clothing and books to tools and wine. Later this month we’ll be launching the annual Shop Local Macomb campaign, which offers the opportunity to win a prize just for shopping in one or more othe county’s 27 communities.
