Meet Me on the Trail 2021 is scheduled for Saturday, September 25, 2021!
Meet me on the Trail is a one-day event designed to promote health & wellness and celebrate the growing trail system in Macomb County through education, recreation, and stewardship events. These events include (but are not limited to) nature hikes, bike rides, restoration projects, fishing lessons, picnics, kids' games, presentations, and more!

Recreational Authority of Roseville & Eastpointe
Tails on the Trail - Spindler Park
- Walking event featuring dog-walkers. No need to have a dog to walk, but anyone bringing a dog to walk the trail may also enter a costume (for dog) and/or Frisbee contest. Donation for entry fee to contests will be donated to the fund to help build the local veterinary hospital.
Walk-N-Play - Veteran's Memorial Park-Roseville
- Families can walk the path at Veteran's Memorial Park in Roseville, then play any of the unique party games available to residents at the Recreation Authority. Games include: Giant "Its Dicey" (yahtzee); Tug of War Rope; Saucer Slam; Kickball Set; Baggo; Enorma Egg & Spoon Race; Giant Cannonball Drop; Kangasacks; Crossnet; Ladderball; "Pin" Skin (kids fowling); Giant Tower (jenga); Washer Toss; & Cliff Hanger

Explore the Trails Day
Spend a day at one of Chesterfield Township’s newest nature parks! We welcome families of all ages to participate in an afternoon of fun. Kids are invited to complete a scavenger hunt of special finds, spot new labeled plants along the pathway, and play a BINGO game of bird spotting for all ages. Make a day of it by bringing a picnic lunch to dine at the edge of the Salt River. Online pre-registration available: parks.chesterfieldtwp.org
Lake St. Clair Metropark Nature Center
Get Outside Family Day
Wondering what you can do outdoors with your family? Join us at Lake St. Clair Metropark Nature Center for an afternoon of fun in the great outdoors. Participate in guided nature hikes, a straw-bale maze, lawn games and more! Enjoy a snack on us, scavenger hunts, and nature-themed crafts to take home. Invasive Species Removal
Join us in removing invasive shrubs along the trail at Wolcott Metropark. Volunteers are an essential part in our fight against invasive species and in our work to restore and conserve our natural areas. Your help allows the Metroparks to protect unique ecosystems that will be enjoyed for generations to come. All necessary tools and equipment will be provided. Please be sure to dress for working outdoors and in areas that may include poison ivy (long pants, layered clothing, closed-toe shoes, rain gear, hat, sunscreen, etc.) and bring your favorite pair of work gloves. Meet Me on the Trail - Barrier Free Family Fun Day
Come join Disability Network Oakland and Macomb (DNOM) for family fun activities and entertainment at McKinley Barrier Free Park. Activities include arts and crafts, recreation and entertainment for all ages. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Receive a color and walk the beautiful trails at Nicholson Nature Center trying to match your color with an object. Take a picture of your color and selected item that most closely matches that color together and return to the pavilion to win a prize.
