Harrison Township is a beautiful community known as “Boat Town U.S.A.,”. It features 14 miles of coastline on Lake St. Clair and eight miles of non-motorized paths that offer residents and visitors easy access to recreational activities, such as sailing, kayaking and world-class fishing.
Within its boundaries Lake St. Clair Metropark can be found. The 770-acre public park features a 1,000-foot beach, nature center, fitness trails, a paved one-mile shoreline trail and year-round activities. Selfridge Air National Guard Base is also located here and the base is composed of 1,700 civilian airmen and houses units from every component of the U. S. Armed Forces.
Its easy access to regional and national thoroughfares helps keep the lakeside township connected and is another major factor for why thousands of residents and businesses call Harrison Township home.
