October is National Fire Prevention Month
In honor of that, many fire departments across the county will host events to educate community members on how to keep themselves and others safe. This year’s theme is “Not Every Hero Wears a Cape. Plan and Practice Your Escape!”
In most house fires, there are only a few minutes to safely make it out. Escape planning and practice can help ensure you and your family make the most of precious time available when there is a fire emergency.
